Community
In an effort to broaden our outreach and improve the health of children in need
within Lancaster County, St. Joseph Health Ministries continues to partner with community organizations and initiatives that promote healthier communities.
Highlights from the 2009 Fiscal Year:
- Providing $15,000 of funding and support to 2 unique partnerships with Lancaster General Hospital and Ephrata Community Hospital through the Healthy Beginnings Plus Dental Health Initiative.
- Committed $25,000 of funding to the United Way in partnership with 4 other organizations for The Partnership for a County Public Health Department.
- Donated a portable dental chair valued at $1,350 to the Community Action Program of Lancaster County for use in dental screenings for the children in the Head Start program.
- Contributed $2,500 of financial support towards the Walking Together: Support for Survivors of Family Violence program facilitated by Samaritan Counseling Center.
