Dentist
Job Summary:
Provides full range of dental care to patients ages 3 - 18 served by St. Joseph Health Ministries' children's oral health initiative - Brush. Brush. Smile!. This is a 40-foot mobile clinic that visits all 16 school districts in Lancaster County, PA.
Essential Duties:
-
Assesses disease risk in each client and promotes preventative care practices.
-
Diagnoses and prepares a comprehensive treatment plan for each patient.
-
Achieves necessary and effective local anesthesia before restorative treatment.
-
Produces satisfactory restoration, appropriate for tooth condition.
-
Demonstrates competencies in the assessment, range of treatment, knowledge of growth, development and communication appropriate for age of the patient treated.
-
Insures that the proper protocols for treatments are followed and that treatment plans are implemented as intended.
-
Records completely all procedures, recommended follow-up care and other appropriate patient information.
-
Serves as the team leader within the clinic.

Education:
Experience:

Experience in public dental health and/or pediatric dentistry strongly recommended, but not required.

DMD or DDS licensed to practice dentistry within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

The Dental Assistant I will provide clinical and administrative assistance to the dental staff in processing and treating patients. This a full-time position (5 days per week for total of 40 hours).
Essential Duties:

Prepares the mobile dental clinic to receive and treat patients on a daily basis

Provides chair side assistance to dentist with all procedures
-
Assists with management of clinical inventory and ordering of clinical supplies

Provides administrative support
-
Provides outreach services as needed

2 – 5 years experience as a dental assistant preferred.

Job Summary:
The Dental Hygienist will provide preventive and therapeutic dental treatment for clients involved in St. Joseph Health Ministries’ children’s oral health initiative. He/she will also provide group and 1-on-1 education for clients, their caregivers and/or their community support systems. This a full-time position (4 days per week for total of 32 hours).
Essential Duties:

Includes assessment, prophylaxis, fluoride treatment and sealants.
-
Work collaboratively with other dental staff in development of treatment plans and further recommendations.
-
Develop communication, teaching style and curriculum that is age appropriate and increases understanding of proper oral hygiene and regular preventive care.
-
Assess and document further recommendations and necessary follow-up within SJHM system and in communication with client’s caregiver.
-
Document care provided to the patient.
-
Communicate care and recommendations to the parents/caregivers.

This position requires at least two years experience as a dental hygienist.

A current dental hygiene license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is also required.
